Parmar at OSCE meeting on “Freedom of Expression for Tolerance and Non-Discrimination”

Sejal Parmar, assistant professor in the Department of Legal Studies and a member of the core faculty of the Center on Media, Data and Society at the School of Public Policy, gave a presentation on “When does speech become intolerant and discriminatory?” at a panel during the meeting on “Freedom of Expression for Tolerance and Non-Discrimination” organized by the office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Representative on Freedom of the Media, Ms Dunja Mijatović, on 18 December 2014 in Vienna.

 The meeting was organized just a few weeks before the deadly attacks on the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket in Paris.
